# Runable: building the zero-to-one growth system

By [Gaurav Singh Bisen](https://gauravbisen.com/about/), Growth Consultant. August 2025 - January 2026.

Six months working closely with Umesh and Eshaan to connect a 360-degree launch plan, influencer-led growth, a UGC pipeline, and SEO into one growth system.

## The context

**A general AI agent gives people many possibilities. Growth starts when they can see a reason to try it.** Runable could help people create slides, websites, reports, and other work from a prompt. The challenge was to turn that breadth into a clear, compelling first use case.

I worked actively on Runable’s zero-to-one growth journey from August 2025 through January 2026. Working closely with Umesh Kumar and Eshaan Pawan, I helped build the growth system around the product: how it launched, how creators introduced it, how user content could support discovery, and how search could bring people in over time.

The public launch message made the product tangible. In his [launch announcement](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/umesh-k-iitr_finally-we-are-launching-runable-a-year-activity-7391877459090063360-aY-A), Umesh described the outputs people could create and edit in one place.

> “One platform where you create slides, websites, reports, videos, images, podcasts and more.”

## The organizing principle

**Make the outcome visible. Make discovery repeatable.**

For this engagement, I approached launch, creators, user-generated content, and search as parts of the same job: helping someone understand what Runable could do for them and giving them a reason to try it. The work was to build a system the team could keep operating beyond the initial launch.

## The work

Four connected workstreams formed the scope of my engagement.

### A 360-degree launch plan

I worked with Umesh and Eshaan on the overall launch plan, connecting the product story with distribution across channels. The aim was a consistent introduction to Runable, with clear use cases that people could understand wherever they first encountered it.

### Influencer-led growth

I helped build the influencer growth system around product demonstrations. A creator could make the value concrete by showing a finished piece of work and how it was made. That gave the product a format people could watch, understand, and try for themselves.

### A pipeline for user-generated content

I worked on the UGC pipeline as a distinct part of the growth system. The focus was on making room for examples of people using the product in their own context. Creator campaigns and user-generated content served different purposes, even when both used short-form video or social posts.

### SEO as an ongoing source of discovery

I helped build the SEO systems alongside the launch and creator work. The goal was to make Runable discoverable when people searched for a task they wanted to complete. Search gave the growth plan a longer horizon than the initial announcement.

## The public growth journey

Runable’s public record shows the progression from launch to a larger product and audience. My engagement covered the early launch phase; the milestones below also show what the company reported after it ended.

Aug 2025 - Jan 2026 · My engagement

### Building the early growth system

Six months of work with Umesh and Eshaan across launch planning, influencer-led growth, UGC, and SEO.

Nov 2025 · During the engagement

### Runable goes public

Mar 2026 · After the engagement

### Runable reports more than 500,000 signups

The Runable 2.0 announcement reported that more than 500,000 people had signed up for v1. This is a company-reported cumulative figure, not a January closing metric or a count of active users. [Read the company announcement](https://runable.com/blogs/runable-2-0).

Aug 2026 · After the engagement

### A $21 million Series A

Runable announced $21 million in funding on August 26, alongside the launch of Grow. The Series A followed my engagement and is a later company milestone. [Read Runable’s funding announcement](https://runable.com/blogs/runable-grow).

## Growth, in Runable’s own numbers

The interactive milestone timeline lets readers explore the March, August, and September announcements. Revenue and funding are shown separately from the audience comparison. All figures come from official announcements.

| Announcement | Metric | Company-reported figure | Official source |
|---|---|---|---|
| March 7, 2026 | Cumulative signups | 500,000+ | [Runable 2.0](https://runable.com/blogs/runable-2-0) |
| September 10, 2026 | Users | 1.5 million+ | [Umesh’s X post](https://x.com/itsumeshk/status/2098048851529670696) |
| August 26, 2026 | ARR, three weeks after monetization | $2M | [Founder announcement](https://runable.com/blogs/runable-grow) |
| August 26, 2026 | Series A funding | $21M | [Founder announcement](https://runable.com/blogs/runable-grow) |

These later company milestones follow my August 2025 - January 2026 engagement. Figures are reported thresholds, with no interpolation between announcements. ARR is an annualized revenue measure; funding is separate from revenue.

## What is visible today

Runable’s public site now includes [task-specific workflows](https://runable.com/workflows), [comparison pages](https://runable.com/compare), and [product and educational content](https://runable.com/blogs). These show how the product can be discovered through different user needs. They are current public examples, not a claim that I created every page or that each existed during my engagement.

The durable idea behind my work is simple: a launch introduces the product, creators make it easier to understand, user content adds more perspectives, and search keeps the product discoverable. Building those capabilities together was the focus of my six months with Runable.

## About this work

This is my first-person account of my role as Growth Consultant from August 2025 to January 2026. The scope covers launch planning, influencer-led growth, UGC, and SEO. Official company announcements provide context for the growth journey.

Runable’s later funding and audience milestones reflect the work of its founders and wider team. The contribution described here is the early growth system I helped build with them.
